When You are unsure about what to do next
A Clearer Way to Think About Your Career
Career development can feel daunting when you try to solve everything at once.
You may be focussing on the wrong activities or put it off because it feels too overwhelming.
A way forward is to break it down into more manegeable steps.
We look at where you are now, what matters to you, consider options for where you could go next, and what needs to happen to get you there.
This might mean stepping back to think more deeply about the kind of career you want to build, letting go and exploring options you hadn’t considered.
It might mean turning an existing goal into a practical development and job search plan.
Or it may mean needing support in preparing for applications or interviews.
The aim is to help you stop going round in circles and start taking practical, focused action. You may need help clarifying what you want.

Coaching sessions are tailored to your goals and your situation.
We start where you are.
I work with people at different stages of their careers, including:
Your coaching is tailored to your needs. That might include:
We first meet to clarify what coaching will look like and how we will work together, including confidentiality, responsibilities and boundaries.
We can then discuss what’s happening, what you want to change, and what you’d like to gain from our coaching sessions. Based on this, we can agree on the number and timing of the sessions..
Throughout the following coaching sessions, we focus on your priorities.
That could involve reflection, practical exercises, exploring resources, challenging assumptions, or working through specific career-related challenges.
You may also agree on actions to take between sessions.
We turn what you’ve learned into clear next steps.
That may include setting a career direction, developing a personal development plan, setting a job search strategy, strengthening applications and interview preparation, or a combination of these.
Career coaching isn’t about someone else telling you which career you should have.
It’s your career.
You make the decisions. You still do the work.
My role is to give you structure, ask the questions that help you think more deeply, share career development expertise where it’s useful, and help you maintain focus on turning your ideas into action.
Taking ownership of your career doesn’t mean you have to work everything out on your own. I will be there to provide a safe space for reflection and to support you with guidance and resources.
want something like that?
A way to assess opportunities based on your own goals, strengths, values, and priorities.
A better understanding of what you want and which options make sense for you.
A stronger ability to talk about your experience, achievements, and what you bring to an organisation.
Clear next steps instead of one big, overwhelming career question.
A clearer understanding of how employers find talent and where to focus your time and energy.
Career development tools you can return to when your career changes again.
I've worked in career development for more than twenty years, supporting hundreds of people worldwide at every stage of their careers.
I’ve seen the frustration of not knowing where to begin — and the change that follows when people gain the knowledge, structure, and tools to move forward.
I’ve also experienced career transitions, so I understand that taking your next step isn’t only about finding the right job.
It can affect your confidence, sense of security, identity, and your view of your future.
My approach brings the two sides together: thoughtful coaching and practical expertise in career development.
You don’t need to have all the answers.
You just need somewhere to start.
Let’s work together to assess where you are, where you might want to go, and what your next steps could look like.
